Fanthorpes HiFi - The Week Ahead 22nd July - 27th July 2019

Hey everyone, we’ve got another jam packed week to look forward to. Plenty of installs and demonstrations. Plus some visits from our industry colleagues with news about new products on the horizon…

The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Monday 22^nd July

We start the week off with a trip down to Richmond to install a high end high end preowned Nagra DAC we recently part exchanged. We’ll be taking in a few items in part exchange such as a Chord Hugo, Pro Ac speakers and a Krell amplifier. So be sure to keep an eye on the preowned section of our website for updates!

We are also expecting a visit from our good friends at MIAN Distribution to talk all things Leema Acoustics. We can’t wait to hear what they have to offer…

Tuesday 23^rd July

Our good friends at KEF are paying us a visit Tuesday. We’ll make sure the we have a mug of the finest Yorkshire tea ready! It’s always great to see members of the industry pop in, it allows us to turn our focus to a particular brand serving as a nice refresher course and to possibly learn about any new products on the horizon.

Wednesday 24^th July

We have an instore demonstration booked in for Wednesday. Looking for a set of new speakers we will have the Quad Z3 set up alongside the PMC Twenty5 23 speakers on a Cyrus Pre2 DAC QXR and Stereo 200. We will be using an Innuos Streamer as the source.

This customer also purchased an Innuos Zen MK3 prior to the demo and is part exchanging his old Zen MK2. While the demonstration is going on, we will transfer his music library from his old Zen MK2 to his new MK3 Zen so it’s ready to use when he gets home.

Thursday 25^th July

A busy day in terms of visits from manufacturers awaits us on Thursday. First up we have Pat from the Chord Company in the morning to talk all things cable related.

In the afternoon we will have Maurice from Chord Electronics in. We can’t wait to hear more about the new Chord products especially the new Ultima range of power amplifiers.

Friday 26^th July

A local install is on the cards for Friday. This chap has purchased the preowned ClearAudio reference turntable with a Basis Vector 2 arm we had for sale. Our turntable guy will also be fitting an Ortofon 2MRED Cartridge to the deck to complete the install.

Saturday 27^th July

We end the week with an install in Derbyshire. We are heading down to install a Sugden Sapphire pre/power set up. Which we are sure the customer will love.
