What HiFi Award Winners 2018 at Fanthorpes HiFi

Our brands have been well represented at this years What HiFi awards, lets have a look at who won what.

Lets start off with speaker award winners, standmount speaker wise it was a double award scoop for KEF with the Q350 winning the 'Best standmount speaker £500-£750' and the new KEF R3 Standmounts winning the 'Best standmount speaker £1000-£2000'. Coming off the back of a great review from Hi-Fi Choice the Spendor A7 Floorstanding speakers won the 'Best floorstanding speaker over £2000'.

We also had two winners in the Speaker Package category, these we're the Monitor Audio Silver 200 AV12 that won 'Best speaker package £2000-£5000' as well as the PMC Twenty5 23 5.1 winning the 'Best speaker package over £5000'. Rounding things off in the speaker category the Ruark Audio MR1 Mk2 won 'Best desktop speaker'.

Moving on to the electronics the Roksan Blak integrated received 'Best stereo amplifier over £2500', and the Cyrus CDi CD Player won 'Best CD player over £1000'. Both these products held on to their titles from last year too. The Pro-Ject Primary E also won the award for 'Best turntable under £200'

Chord Electronics dominate the DAC award section once more taking home three of the five awards on offer. The Chord Hugo 2 was announced the 'Best DAC over £1200', with the Chord Mojo 'Best DAC £300-£500' and Qutest 'Best DAC £500-£1200' claiming the other two awards. Cyrus Audio were our other brand represented in the DAC category, with the Soundkey scooping the award for best USB DAC under £150.

In the accessories section of the award ceremony we had representation from Arcam who won 'Best phono stage over £250' for the rPhono, as well as The Chord Company who won awards for the Chord Company C-line winning the 'Best analogue interconnect under £50' and the Chord Clearway Analogue RCA being awarded the 'Best analogue interconnect over £50'

The LS50 Wireless Speakers pulled off another victory for team KEF winning the 'Best all-in-one system'.

Wrapping things up is the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Over-Ear Headphones winning the 'Best portable on-ear headphones over £100'.
